CCCEEC, Inc. was established with a MISSION to provide environmental and civic education programs to underserved communities.

CCCEEC, Inc. was founded in 1991 as a nonprofit corporation by Carole Williams Green, a retired teacher and administrator who spent 31 years working in the Philadelphia School system. She was always looking for ways to improve science education. Her vision was to turn an abandoned horse stable into a state-of-the-art environmental education center located in Cobbs Creek Park. After retirement, she spearheaded a decade-long effort to raise nearly $2.7 million to renovate the old stable. In 2001, the dream became a reality when the doors of the Cobbs Creek Community Environmental Education Center opened. CELEBRATE WITH US!

For 25 years, the Environmental Education Center in Cobbs Creek Park has been a place where science, community, education and the natural environment come together. Our legacy today is an upgraded facility with a laboratory equipped with state-of-the-art scientific equipment and classrooms with high-tech whiteboards. We invite you to celebrate this remarkable milestone at our 25th Anniversary Gala on the Green, Saturday, October 17th at the Lincoln Financial Center, Cobbs Creek Golf Campus.
